Becoming a staffer on Star Trek: Gibraltar is a four-step process.
First, let us know your intention to become staff by @mailing us a shorn "resume" of why you want to be staff and what your qualifications are. We don't require experience--and, indeed, we'd rather hear that you've GM'd tabletop games than that you've staffed elsewhere--but whatever you feel qualifies you to be a staffer.
If we consider you a good candidate, we'll take you aside and discuss what we want in our staffers, what your position would be, and be sure that everyone is on the same page. If all is well, we'll ask you for a sample of whatever it is you're to do--a sample episode, a bit of code, or a test scene or two to see how well you run things.
After this, if we feel you'll make a good staffer, you'll be put in as staff on a one-month trial period. During this time your staff character will have access to restricted BBoards, the Staff channel, and most portions of the staff wiki, though the portion with the overarching plot information will be off-limits just in case things don't work out.
At the end of the month we'll come back and evaluate how you've done, if you're comfortable in your position, and so on. Anytime during the month, you can walk away from the position with no problems if you so wish. Should eveything work out, you'll be made a full staffer!
